Melissa Foster is a print designer from Hull and a recent graduate from Leeds Arts University. Bold and eclectic prints are what she's all about and what inspires her, along with ideas of folk art from many different cultures. Colour is something that is important to Melissa and her design process, finding it adds excitement and a narrative to her prints that can be seen within the Lucy & Yak pieces. The prints and patterns were influenced by a mixture of her surroundings of Yorkshire, paired with ideas and art from Mexican Huichol artists.
