I’m in love with the L&Y pinks 🌸 and had been poking about for pink shorts and… here they are! 💕
Smart casual, so I feel chill but put together in them. I find some shorts too messy for some occasions, but these have a sharpness with this cotton weave, so I feel fancy enough in most situations, but still hella comfy. Perfect fit, and cute rolled up or down.
These shorts are AMAZING!! So so comfy with loads of room to move! The fabric has a lovely weight to it so I think they’ll wear well. I bought them in both colours intending to choose, but I’m keeping both!!
Right, size…because this is what I always want to know from reviews! I wear anything from a UK16-20 and carry my weight low on my tummy, with a high, short, relatively narrow waist. In Yaks I take an XL Juni, an 18 or a 20 for extra room in a Ragan with an elastic waist, a 20 in most dungas, an XL in Kias and a L in Alexas. I bought these in a L after reading previous reviews and the fit is [chef’s kiss] perfect! The elastic waist is hardly stretched at all, and there’s plenty of room for the ol’ tum ;) I’ll be watching for more colours to add to the collection…
My Charlie shorts just arrived and if the weather wasn't awful today I wouldn't be taking them off! They fit amazingly well, with plenty of room to move around and sit down comfortably in. They are a really lovely colour and, as advertised, the pockets are nice and deep. I honestly don't have a bad word to say. I usually wear an 18/20, so to be on the safe size I went with a 20-22. They are nice and big, which some people may not be looking for, but for me it's fantastic as they don't feel restrictive on the legs or waist, and unlike with some trousers and shorts, I don't feel like I'm being cut in half when I sit down. This is my first purchase from Lucy & Yak since around 2018 and I will definitely be buying more very soon!
As with a lot of clothes that are duel sizing it’s really hard to pick the right size. I used the size calculator for these and they’re way too big (M recommended). I’m a 10/12 on my bottom half and don’t like clothes to be too fitted so went with the medium size. I thought that I wouldn’t fit into a size 8-10. They’re so big they’d fall off if they weren’t tied up tight. Without tying I’ve easily got a spare 5 inches around the waist. For reference my waist is 28” and I usually buy a size 10 in original and Easton dungarees. I would love to exchange for a smaller size but they’re already out of stock!

We can see based on your waist measurement we would have also recommended a Medium, however we can appreciate these may have been too oversized!

I have the Chuck trousers and was so excited to get the short version ! I'm always in between size (10-12) and I have Chuck in M, it fits but it's a real baggy look. This time I went with S and it fits perfectly as well, really comfortable, not too loose or too tight. The colour is amazing and the fabric is strong
