I usually buy regular length jeans and trousers from stores and can get away with them but unfortunately, these were gigantic for me. I pulled them up so far that they were resting under my boobs at one point and the crotch area was still a good few inches away from where it should have been! They just don’t fit well at all. I really don’t know how long they thing people’s bodies are!
I contacted customer services and apparently, there is no plans to create ‘short’ clothing until next year. But they will create clothing for taller people? I thought this was an inclusive of all shapes and sizes brand :(
I have sent them back. Hopefully items for shorter people (I am 5”3, so not even super short!) will come soon. I would love to buy from this brand.
I haven't tried Lucy & Yak before, but I have a small waist (24 inches) and athletic legs and it's really hard to get trousers which fit both at the waist and the hips/legs. I bought these trousers in a 26 (size 8) - can't compare to the smaller size as they were sold out. They are quite loose fitting and very roomy on my hips - I'm not sure if I would have gone for a 24 if it were available - whilst I do have space on the waistband there is no stretch in it so maybe the bigger size is better if you are sitting down a lot or planning to eat a big meal :)
I'll definitely be purchasing trousers from Lucy & Yak again, I'm converted!
Im a waist 30" with average build and after reading the comments i ordered size 30 and 28 as everyone was sizing down. 30" was comfy and little loose and 28" was a more fitted look, and was still nice on the waistline. Really comfy, had loads of compliments and id recommend sizing down!
I am unfortunately disappointed in my purchase of these pants. I bought these lovely-looking pair of pants in a UK size 10. My usual size. My waist measurement is 71.5-73 cm (28-28.5 inches) According to the size chart a size 10 is meant for a 72 cm waist which should have been perfect for me. However the pants are so loose on me that I can fit both my arms stacked on one another along with my waist inside the pants. I probably could even go down 2 sizes! The hip area is very large as well and ill-fitting. Reading other reviews it seemed like this would be the correct size for me or maybe a tad loose, but I was wrong.
Unfortunately, I paid twice the price of the pants due to fees and shipping costs to Canada ($50 fees for $50 pants). I wish that I didn't have to return them. I wish the size chart was more accurate.
Thanks for getting in touch. We're sorry to hear that these aren't the right fit for you. I will pass this feedback into the design team to reevaluate the size chart. We're currently looking into more affordable options for Canadian post as these fees are unfair.
You can return these, you wouldn't need to pay for them to be posted all the way to the UK. You can send them to the returns depot in Canada. For more info and your local returns address, head to the International Returns section on our website.
You could alternatively try selling them on a resell sight as we've found some of the international customers or customers outside of the returns window have chosen to do this.
Bought a few things for the first time and it won’t be the last! These are super comfy and I love them!
