Another reason to love it? It's made from a whole lot of recycled plastic bottles!
Recycled polyester is great because....
- It saves plastic bottles from landfill or the sea
- It's super soft and cosy
- Less energy is used to create polyester yarn from recycled bottles than is needed to create brand new polyester yarn from oil
But nothing is perfect....
- All polyester garments shed microfibres when washing them, but there is something we can do to prevent this, use a guppy bag to catch the microfibres, we sell them at a small loss to keep the price accessible, get one here > guppy bag

Disappointed as I have been waiting for months for L&Y to release more fleeces, as unfortunately I was unable to buy their last line of outerwear due to them selling out so fast. Was disappointed that they did not bring the pink colour back, however decided to give the navy a go.
First of all, I do not think this fleece is soft at all, or at least not for the price I paid for it. It is also not as thick as I hoped, and feels (and looks) like one of those cheap fleeces you get working in retail as part of the uniform. What's more, the sizing of this piece is just weird. I first purchased it in a size M (I am a UK size 12) and upon finding it was huge on me, exchanged it for a small. The fleece has a pull tie so that you can make the fleece shorter and more fitted to your waist, however this doesn't work with the fact that it is oversized, as it just creates an unflattering flap of excess fabric that hangs from your front. It makes me look like I've got a saggy stomach!
I have purchased a lot of items from Lucy & Yak and many of their items have become wardrobe staples. However this item was a weird one for me.
This fleece is really soft, cosy and warm. Perfect for winter walks! I am a size 8-10 and sized down to an XS. The XS is still roomy on me so 'oversized' without being swamped in material - I think the S would have been way too big. The colour also means this will go with everything. Thanks L&Y!
