Delores - Wide Leg Denim Jeans Washed Black

I’ve owned and love a pair of these jeans for a few years so when they finally wore out I was excited to get some new ones this time in both colours. I reordered in the same size I’ve been wearing only to find out on arrival that this size no longer fits (couldn’t even zip them up), so I paid $40 AUD to return them and selected the size up as instructed in the size chart. I have just received the next size up and I’m so sad to report that they still don’t fit! I can now zip them up but they are to big in the waist and completely squash my butt (which isn’t even very big). I’m so disappointed because the last ones were so flattering and comfortable but the new sizing has ruined them. You would think that you would be safe to order a pair of jeans you already own and have them fit but I am probably just going to have to return them for a second time and with the amount it’s costing me to return them I won’t be trying again. Sad that they no longer have a size that will work for me.

I recently replaced my Delores jeans as my other ones had been worn so much that they were wearing away.
I ordered the same size I had ordered last year (W26/8) however the original pair couldn’t fit over my thighs (I’m 5’7” and of slim build). So I decided to size up (W28/10), these ones do still feel slightly tight around my thighs but more of a secure fit, however the waist fits very loosely like I could have gone down a couple of sizes.
Thankfully they still look good when I wear a belt and are flattering but it does feel quite discouraging with how inconsistent the sizing has become recently.

The sizing on these is ridiculous! I went for one size larger as other reviews have said but realistically need to go up 2 or even 3 sizes for them to fit, at which point there would be no way they'll fit on the waist. Absolutely gutting from l&y with sizing again!
