We are committed to driving responsible and sustainable production, that upholds the rights and wellbeing of the people who make our clothes and respects and helps to protect the planet around us. Essentially, we are working to build an ethical supply chain where chemicals, waste and carbon emissions are reduced, and where the labour rights of those who make our Yaks are respected. We know that in order to make significant progress on this journey, we need to partner with leading organisations who can support us in achieving the high standards that we set for ourselves.
We are incredibly proud to have been accepted for Fair Labor Association membership in July 2023.
FLA is an international network promoting human rights at work and its membership includes companies, universities and civil society organisations. They have worked for more than 20 years toward a future where responsible business means that fair working conditions are the standard, not the exception.
Our commitment to ensuring fair labour practices and promoting human rights throughout our supply chain has always been a priority for our business and with the support of FLA, we can build upon our Responsible Sourcing Program and ensure that we have the expertise in place to drive our work forward in this area.
Sedex is a membership organisation that provides one of the world’s leading online platforms for companies to manage and improve working conditions in global supply chains. Lucy & Yak, along with our all of our direct suppliers, are members of Sedex.
We have partnered with Greenly in order to help measure our carbon footprint and identify where our most considerable emissions are. This targeted analysis of our operations means we can prioritise where to start reducing our impact throughout all parts of the business sustainably..
Lucy & Yak are part of a working group which consists of CSR teams from small-medium sized UK brands who come together to share knowledge on ethical and sustainable topics.
