Mable - Maxi Dress in Island Blooms Scribbled Floral Print

Lovely material and very comfortable.

I really love L&Y floral prints and the Island Blooms Scribbled is perfect for a floaty summer dress. The new fabric choice is fantastic. It's a thick, double-layered gauze, which I much prefer to the wrinkle-prone fabric used for these dresses last year. At 5ft3, this is a long, ankle grazer length on me. I'm a pear-shaped UK10/34B, but sized down to an 8 and it fits me with plenty of room to spare. Same measurements as last year's Mabel. Lovely dress overall and big points for the adjustable straps and big side pockets. However, I think it could do with a shirred back for those with larger chests and/or a zip for easier access as the only way to get it on/off is over the head - hence the 4 stars. Personally, I would prefer a round neckline too. It could probably be layered for colder season, but the print definitely screams spring & summer!

I absolutely adore the patchwork pattern with its gorgeous Boho vibe. The dress is perfect for hot summer days and I love the fabric.
My only gripe is that the bodice seems to be designed for small boobs....I sized up because of this but still need to wear a cami underneath to avoid exposing a bit too much!
