too small

I really love my Dana Jeans in color Mid Wash Blue and since I have them in size uk 10 and they are a little bit loose I thought that ordering this 'new fit' ones in black in the same size would be a good idea. Unfortunately they were too tight to be able to wear them so I had to send them back even though according to the size chart they should be the right choice.

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I'm sorry to hear that your black Dana's have arrived feeling different to the mid wash! As well as our black Dana's being part of our 'New Fit' range which do come up a little smaller to be more aligned with high street sizing, this is something that we do sometimes see in the different colours of denim. The washing and dyeing process will have quite an impact on how the fabric feels. Black and dark dyes will always feel heavier and closer fitting when on, but we do account for this when fitting to our sample size models. The lighter colour or wash the fabric has, the more wash process it goes through which will make the fabric softer and will fit looser to the body.

Great fit

I loved the fit of these, they’re just a bit stiff so hard to move around in. They’re the perfect mom jeans besides this!

All in All - Solid Jeans

I am absolutely in love with my pair and have been wearing it for the better part of more than a year now. Unfortunately, they have been showing significant signs of wear and tear by now and are even developing a hole around the crotch area and the seams on the inner thighs are very much thinning (size 30, long).

They do fit pretty loose on me and I probably could've gone a size down (size was from 03/22, been reading there has been some inconsistency), which makes it even more surprising to me, that they do show such significant wear.

Other than the fast aging though, I would always go back to buying these. LOVE the carrot cut and fit of them and they are by far the most comfortable pair of jeans I own.

Not true to size!

Big L&Y fan.
Ordered my correct size from the size chart (size 12). Double checked as it's the new fit.
Couldn't get these past my thighs!
They'd fit a size 8.
Contacted customer service to avoid leaving a bad review and ask why they were so far off the measurement guide and they just told me that it was new sizing twice.

Beware when ordering from abroad, it's an expensive risk!

The black Danas are part of our 'New Fit' range, which has been developed to be more consistent with high street sizing but does come up smaller than the 'Old Fit' range! Awful- do not buy if you do not want to have body dismorphia!

To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I am a size 12-14. I ordered a 14 and couldn’t even get them past my thighs. I exchanged for a 16 and they are so tight. I refuse to wear a size 18 as I already dislike my figure but that is a joke. I contacted customer services who advised it was to accommodate larger sizes they adjusted the fit bit you are cutting a whole group of people out by doing so. I will never buy from Lucy and Yak again and I was a loyal customer. I should not be sat crying after treating myself to jeans.
