In less than 2 years Lucy & Yak has grown from Lucy’s bedroom with 1 employee (Lucy’s mum) to a cult brand with nearly 40 employees, a warehouse, design house and a shop! The growth is far from over. A chance to get in early with a new brand growing this fast is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

So far Chris & Lucy have managed the brand strategy of Lucy & Yak. It’s time to hand those reigns over to someone with real experience and a proven track record of growing a brand and managing that brand identity through product design and marketing strategy. Our customers are young leaders of social movements, so we are looking for someone that is up to date on current trends and the social climate. 

The role:

We are looking for someone with a creative vision, someone who understands current trends and can keep Lucy & Yak at the forefront of the ethical & sustainable movement. 

Building and Managing the small team of marketing and product design

Growing this team into two self-sufficient departments

Managing each season’s design & marketing strategy

Communicating across departments so that the relevant people are kept up to date

Meeting regularly with Chris & Lucy to ensure the Brand DNA is always being communicated

Hands on management of digital marketing, including website, social media and emails

Management of ambassador strategy

Ultimately taking Lucy & Yak to the next step, and helping to develop a consistent brand image across all platforms, that communicates our values

Being in the know on current social and environmental trends, and keeping the whole team up to date on these

Development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across all of our channels, in line with communication strategy and brand communication idea on time, to budget to deliver against pre-defined ROI metrics.

Skills required

Strong experience in Brand management & brand positioning

Proven experience of managing marketing budgets

Experienced in research, data analysis & insight generation

Experience in managing cross agency teams to develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including all online social media channels & emails

Experience managing offline campaigns including; publications and events

Preferred experience with scaling up a rapidly growing business

Experience in analysing and utilising multiple sources of data to diagnose and recommending clear business actions

Strong project management experience & proven track record of delivery

Great communicator with an ability to turn complex strategy into clear, simple, actionable plans. 

Strong at problem solving, bold and resilient in decision making

The role will be very hands on as we have a very small team, it will eventually develop into you building the team you need around you, as and when our budgets allow.


£40-£50k depending on experience
