A wonderful slightly muted purple which looks so amazing in our soft organic corduroy - a delicious and super fun colour for all year round.
With our signature oversized, unisex dungaree cut - adjustable tie straps, chest and hip pockets, a generous cut and roomy hips and a relaxed look. They come in two leg lengths and the ankles are tapered, but can comfortably be rolled up.
These come in our UK graded structure, but all equivalents are still the same as our previous sizes - see diagram in images - pop us a message if you have any questions!
Two leg lengths, "R" (Regular) and "L" (Long) which has two inches extra for those taller among us! (The bib is the same length on both.)
Our velvety soft mid-weight corduroy is organic and ethically made! 98% Cotton mixed with 2% Elastane for a little stretch and coloured with Low Impact Oeko-Tex approved dyes. The fabric is now pre-shrunk to minimise shrinkage of the garment.

These super soft cord dungarees are in my favourite colour! I opted for a small for a tighter fit and look (am a classic uk size 12). Would wear every day if I could - thank you to all of the Lucy & Yak team - clothes really do enhance your mood!!
I LOVE my corduroy dungarees, they are the comfiest outfit to wear in and out of the house, and easy to pair with lots of different tops. The grape colour is particularly vibrant and looks great!
These are every bit as amazing as I thought they'd be! The colour is a beautiful shade of purple and they are as comfy as the originals always are!
Why 4 stars? Well I very nearly took the advice of the size chart showing the new sizing structure and the sizing equivalent of the old sizing system. I always took a M30 and very nearly ordered the 12R. After looking at the size chart in the description however, I found that actually a 10R was the size I needed. I emailed and the advice was to go with the 10. I took a deep breath and ordered them. I'm not at all a 10 in high street shops so was very nervous doing so. Happy to find that the 10 fits perfectly and held up to my old M's the fit is almost exact so I think the little chart in the pictures showing the equivalents is a little off so be aware of that before ordering.
This is going to be detailed to help people get the right size.
These are a wonderful colour and the usual Lucy and Yak quality which always impresses me and keeps me going back for more.
Normally a size 12 in most things,(5 foot 9, bust 36inch, waist 31 inch, hip 40inch) and I have a slightly longer torso than the standard body.
I used to order an M in the old sizing system for originals. I followed advice and ordered a 10L (my 6th pair of L&Y dungas), I liked the hip fit but it seems shorter in the bib than what the old cut is and I feel that I’ll always be adjusting them (no one likes a camel toe).
I have ordered a 12L and they are much more comfortable length-wise, but now the hips are a little too wide. Going to put some pics up on Instagram so the difference can be shown between the two sizes here.
I appreciate that Lucy and Yak can’t be all things to every one and their body shape. These are a more relaxed fit, which covers more body shapes, leaving us the option to get them tailored to be a slimmer fit if you’d like to. The way they are made makes it quite a simple process with just a straight stitch down each side seam.
I’m going to keep the 12L and take in at the sides (and I have the 10L as a guide for the width!), and I would like to suggest to L&Y that they could add a page to their site showing one model wearing the different cuts (old and new originals and also the Atlas cut) to show the difference.
Also maybe in the L lengths, an extra inch could be added to the bib, because if you’ve got long legs you’ve usually got a longer torso too. But maybe they’re going to cover that in their Tall range, which I probably should have waited for!
I’m still very happy with my new purple dungas. I’ve been waiting for the day this colour came out. My life is complete.
I have a pair of olive originals which are a great fit in an S. I ordered these in a 10r after advice on Instagram but these seem shorter in the body and much bigger on the hips. I’m only five ft 4 and the crotch seems quite high when I tie them at the length I like and seems to bunch up. Still deciding if I want to keep
