Sadly agree with others. The improved sizing is not great for me. Fit all wrong in all places, too tight on hips but very loose in the body, pockets sit so low down. I considered exchanging for the size up but I don’t think it would solve the issue. So sad as I love my cord originals in the old sizing and I love love the colour and fabric of these. Great if it works for you but sad to lose faith in the sizing.
Thanks for your feedback - especially regarding the new sizing!
We're trying to improve our fit across the whole of our website so we're sorry to hear the new fit didn't work for you in the originals. If you ever need any sizing or fit advice please don't hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
First dungarees bought from the new sizing range and I’m impressed! They show a figure underneath which doesn’t cling and sits smartly. My hips are a 10 on the guide but I normally wear a 12 so I ordered a 12R and there is room to float in without drowning my figure behind curtains. So a big thumbs up from me. Thank you Lucy and yak 💕 xx
Sadly the colour doesn't suit me, they are more of a peachy pink and not like the photograph. The sizing was ok but very long for regular so they will be going back.
I have ordered and returned several pairs of dungarees and come to the conclusion that I am not meant to have them.
I wish you would use standard sizing it would make choosing the right garment much more straightforward.
I love these dungarees however, getting them up past my booty and hips is an ✨ordeal✨. Once I wiggle and cross my fingers and get them up, they fit pretty well! But the opening just isn't wide enough for us curvy people. I suggest maybe adding elastane or buttons so that they open up and allow room for curves.
I own 9 pairs of L&Y dunga’s, ranging from the corduroys, limited editions and 2 umi’s - I got the dark green pair a few weeks ago and they’re such a breathable fabric, they’re fantastic for a plus size gal like me! So as soon as I got the green pair, I instantly went back onto the website & ordered myself the pink pair! (I mean, it’s pink.. so it has to be done)
The fabric on these *is* thicker than the other umi’s I own.. I’m not sure why that is BUT they’re still a gorgeous pair of dung’s! For me, the improved sizing works a dream. I’m a size 22, and I’m 5ft 3.. they’re good space on the hips (I’m an apple shape) and the bib size is perfect! (I’m a 40HH for reference) I do have to roll them up 3 times, but that’s how I roll my other yaks so not a problem!
Every body is different so you never really know how it’s going to feel on your body until you try! I think they’re fab. Yes, they’re thicker than what I was expecting - but in the winter months that’s going to be a godsend 😍
Bravo, L&Y! Now to buy the burgundy ones… 👀💸
