A big Black Friday thank you!

A big Black Friday thank you!

The Black Friday weekend has turned into the most exciting weekend of the whole year at Lucy and Yak, and it's all because of YOU!

As you know, instead of a big sale, we have donated 10% of sales to Fior di Loto, a charity that provides everything a girl needs for her education for a year, for the cost of £220.

We are completely blown away by your support! This year we are sending 90 girls to school! Thank you so, so much. It's so encouraging to see that we are all sharing the same vision of a world where we share opportunities and try to make a positive difference.

We've had a lot of fun over the Black Friday weekend and we added a few more extra treats to make things even more fun! The first bonus sponsorship was for the first person to buy the Dylan backpack in cyber yellow! It costs £38, so we donated that plus the extra £182 so that one person buying Dylan meant a girl going straight to school. Thanks to @louisamay91 for snapping up that one, and also to everyone else who dived for Dylan :)

Nicola from Gateshead was the next person to grab our bonus sponsorship. For this one, the first person to buy our Black Originals was sending a girl straight to school as we added the £166 needed to top up the 10% donation from the sale. Next up was Harry from Pinner, UK, who snapped up the Ash Pinks and together we sent another girl to school! To keep things different, the next 7 pairs of socks sold bought 7 pairs of shoes for girls we are sending to to school - thanks to Grayling from Salford, Carla from Hamburg, Chloe from Milton Keynes, Julia, UK, Julie from Oxford, Kelly, UK and Mags, USA who took this on and will have comfy, warm feet for Christmas! A mustard Austen was bought by Kate, thanks so much Kate and, my personal favourite, a new mint green boilersuit was bought by @kfparky And it wasn't all over until late Monday so there was the chance to make it another girl going to school with the sunshine that comes with Greta! Thank you so much to everyone who embraced this fun way of sending as many girls to school as we can and forfeiting the usual discounts so that you could help young girls in India get the education they deserve!

Thank you!
