An Update On Our Sizing

Spring is on the horizon (yay!) which means we’ll be launching our new SS26 collection in thoughtful drops very soon. With the new season, we wanted to share an update with you about our sizing - what's growing, what’s changing and most importantly, why.

What’s new?

Way back in Spring 2023, we launched Petite, followed by Tall and since then, we’ve been slowly expanding these ranges, listening closely to your feedback along the way. We’re really excited to say that from SS26, Petite and Tall will be available across more styles than ever before with the aim to grow this further in the next year. This is something you, our wonderful community, have been asking for, and we’re proud to keep building ranges that help more people find Lucy & Yak pieces they love.

What’s changing?

From spring/summer 2026 we are moving our size range offering to UK 4-30. Size 4 will be exclusively available in our Petite Range (available in sizes 4-16), and we'll no longer produce UK size 32 or 4XL.

Why we’re making this decision

We always aim to make the right amount of each size. Right now, we produce a very limited number of UK size 4, 32 and 4XL pieces in each new colour or print and these sizes simply aren’t selling through at the same rate as others. This means too often we’re left with excess stock at the end of the season, which usually ends up in our (Im)perfect Sales. While we love giving pieces a second chance, our ultimate goal is to keep clothing on people and out of landfill.

By adjusting our size range, we can:

• Reduce fabric waste

• Use materials more effectively across our collections

• Avoid overproduction and unnecessary surplus

Always evolving, always listening

Sizing is complex, and we know these conversations are important. Please know that every decision we make is rooted in care - for our community, our planet, and the people who make our clothes.

We welcome feedback as always via positivechange@lucyandyak.com. Thank you for continuing to share your thoughts with us and for being part of this journey. We’ll keep listening, learning, and growing 🩷

With love,

Lucy & Yak
