ARTHOUSE Unlimited X Lucy & Yak

Art Without Limits

At Lucy & Yak, we’ve always believed that clothing should celebrate people and creativity. That’s why we’re so proud to collaborate with ARTHOUSE Unlimited, a charity that champions the artistic talents of adults living with diverse learning and physical disabilities and to bring you a limited-edition collection celebrating creativity without limits.

Working closely with the ARTHOUSE team and their roster of artists, the collection puts their artwork centre stage. Taking inspiration from imaginative fantasy animals and bold abstract designs, the collection features the artist's individual artwork as well as collaborative pieces.

ARTHOUSE Unlimited and the artists have been paid for the rights to their work, and 100% of profits from this collection will be donated to ARTHOUSE Unlimited to support their studios. They rely on product sales and donations to continue providing accessible studio spaces, creative support, and meaningful opportunities for adults with diverse neurodiverse and physical support needs.

But ARTHOUSE Unlimited is about far more than art. It’s about community, connection, and creating a space where people feel a sense of belonging, purpose, and pride. By encouraging creativity and collaboration, their work supports wellbeing, confidence, and connection. ARTHOUSE Unlimited is proof that when people are given the space to create, incredible things happen.

We are so proud of this collection and hope you love it as much as we do.

Meet The Artists

The prints in this collection feature artwork created by talented ARTHOUSE artists:

Laura loves her time ARTHOUSE Unlimited, where she works as both an artist and a cashier. She really enjoys interacting with the customers and getting to share her artwork with them and the wider world. Laura’s signature style is her bold and bright flowers and fantasy animals. For Laura, working with ARTHOUSE is incredibly rewarding and finds the experience of working with her fellow artists truly inspiring.

Elena Richardson (She/her)

For Elena, her favourite activity at ARTHOUSE Unlimited is painting with her work have a truly distinctive and recognisable style within the collective of artists, with her personality shining through it. She especially enjoys painting wine glasses, which she says always make her laugh! One of Elena’s favourite parts of the painting process is selecting colour palettes and finding the combinations that create striking abstract paintings.

Stephen Thomson (He/him)

Stephen is a strong believer in self-belief and always embracing your individuality. Living with epilepsy since birth, he has learned ways to manage stress by writing down his thoughts and translating them into his artwork. Being part of ARTHOUSE is one of the ways that Stephen can truly relax, connect with people and other artists and is a wonderful way for him to express his creativity.

Stephen is always encouraging others to explore who they are and to feel proud of themselves. At ARTHOUSE Unlimited he creates artwork filled with affirmations and imaginative ideas; one of his pieces features a giant heart with the message ‘Stand up and be strong’ which has appeared on several of ARTHOUSE’s prints and products.

Knowing that others value the work makes the experience particularly meaningful for him.

The Lucy & Yak Shopping Experience

Everyone is welcome at Lucy & Yak, so it’s up to us to make sure everyone can feel comfortable shopping with us.We take great pride in the fact that we receive lots of positive feedback around what it’s like to shop at Lucy & Yak as a neurodivergent person - whether that’s thanks to our kind shop teams or avoiding bright lighting.

In 2023 we took it one step further and introduced sensory friendly shopping sessions across our network of shops. Once a month each store adjusts the space to create a welcoming shopping atmosphere for neurodivergent customers, from sensory friendly lighting, more considered music choices, stickers to show that you’d rather not be approached, fidget toys available and more!
