Sustainable September: Virtual Sashiko Workshop
Sustainable September: Virtual Sashiko Workshop
Join Cat, our resident Re:Yak seamstress, live on Instagram, where you can learn how to repair a rip or hole using the Sashiko embroidery method, decoratively sewing on a patch to cover the tear in your clothing - this will work on your jeans, trousers, dungarees, tops and more. Are you ready? Here’s what you’ll need:
- Fabric or clothing to sew on to
- Embroidery needle
- Embroidery thread
- Embroidery hoop - not necessary but it will make it easier!
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Fabric pen, chalk or pencil
Tune in on Instagram @lucyandyak, 6pm on Wednesday 24th September! No ticket required - just drop in!
This virtual workshop is part of our Sustainable September campaign supporting Shelter. Attendance will be by suggested donation to Shelter, with all proceeds going directly to support their vital work tackling housing injustice. You can donate here!
