I bought 2 of these skirts not having read the other reviews about them shrinking after the first wash and lo and behold they shrunk to a very unflattering bodycon-esque shape after the first wash. This is not how I am washing the fabric as I followed the care instructions properly and the skirt has still shrunk. I don't even own a dryer, I line-dry and iron all of my clothes on a temperature according to the label. The faff is unnecessary for what is really a very cheap material sold at a premium price, (I could have got this at Primark for £10 or maybe even five on sale), and I think the pictures are misleading as they do not show the true fit of the product (i.e. after following the included care instructions). The material shrinks and becomes very unflattering and does not reshape properly even after a cold iron. We have attempted to iron while damp to reshape and dry flat to see if this will remedy it but I am disappointed I have to do this at all and frankly do not think it will work. I have been buying L&Y clothes since 2021, if I had known this skirt would do this I wouldn't have purchased it and I did not expect it as I trust this brand having bought their other items with no issues in the past and lasted me years. I was relying on these clothes to see me through these heatwaves in UK since I have a disability that causes me to be very susceptible to hot weather and a limited income. This makes the sting of the drop in quality all the more painful. Do not bother replying to this unless you are willing to offer me a full refund as this is a defective product which is now apparently standard to sell to your customers and then blame them for normal laundry practices which commercial fabrics should be able to withstand. I am never purchasing viscose again, especially not for such an exorbitant price.
