I have three Zaylas, which I know sounds really extreme, but let me explain...
I bought the black one towards the beginning of the year, and ended up wearing it nearly every day for a month, washing it several times a week when what was meant to be a three-day trip turned into a month.
Several months and many wears and washes later, it still looks new.
That's when I decided to buy the ecru one, which has also been worn a lot and been through many washes - it hasn't bobbled (and I find that fabric usually tends to show wear early if it's going to, with cotton that doesn't last often showing significant degradation after the first wash).
It also has maintained its colour beautifully, without getting even the tiniest bit dingy yet - and I really haven't been looking after my clothes properly recently, after a very, very stressful year so far, with laundry lying in piles for ages, or going through the washer twice after I forgot to take it out.
The cut is nice and slouchy, without being sloppy (which I hate in a t-shirt). This is because the fabric is robust, and the neckband is a good width.
I am 5'6" and a size 8, but I buy the XS in this and still find it roomy enough.
The length is cropped but not too cropped, and works perfectly with loads of L&R trousers which tend to sit on the waist. I wear them mainly with Alexa. They are also nice with Chucks and Obregons.
Finally - and this may sounds weird to some - but L&Y just do *the* best cream and ecru colours. Their ecru isn't too grey, it's a delicious, slightly warm, almost vanilla-y tone (I love cream clothes, so this is a big point for me lol). It's a simple basic, but really beautiful if you're also a lover of a rich, creamy ecru.
