    Just okay

    There are pros and cons to these jeans. I love the concept; big wide legs, front pleats, elasticized waist. But the jeans themselves are very different to the other elastic waist jeans that L&Y offers. Sizing was an issue for me; I typically wear a UK 12 in addison and ashby (I have a narrower waist and large hip - 11.5" waist hip ratio) however, I wear a 14 in Tate. The 14 is still quite tight through the hip and while they look great, they are a bit uncomfortable. As I already exchanged (and I am international) I didn't want to send them back, so I will try and make them work - hopefully they soften with time.

    Another thing to consider - these are mid-rise jeans, not high rise as described (this could also be my proportions as I am long through the hip/rise). They sit below my belly button which contributed to some of my sizing issues. While the waist is elasticized, it is quite stiff and restrictive; it doesn't offer a ton of give compared to other styles.

    Inseam is a true 30"; I appreciated that they're not ankle skimmers. I'm a leggy 5'4" and the length is perfect. Love the wide legs. Denim is heavyweight, appears good quality.

    Fitting large compared to blue pair.

    I love these jeans as they are so comfortable but I did find the black ones were a larger fit,I ordered the same size as the blue pair which fit perfect. They also had a strong chemical smell as did the blue ones (which I had to wash out first)

    Love these really wide legs and fit!

    Love these, the fit is awesome. Really wide legs and high waist. I adore these. The only thing is that the black is fading quite rapidly.

    Cute but functions like Cole

    Nothing wrong with them at all but, if you're excited by the idea of more wide leg jeans, they fit and look functionally identical to the cole cut - not worth getting both if you've already got one!
