Our partner organisations

At Lucy & Yak, our mission is to promote a way of sourcing, producing and doing business that positively impacts People & Planet.

We are committed to driving responsible and sustainable production, that upholds the rights and wellbeing of the people who make our clothes and respects and protects the planet around us. Essentially, we are working to build an ethical supply chain where chemicals, waste and carbon emissions are reduced, and where the labour rights of those who make our Yaks are respected.

We know that in order to make significant progress on this journey, we need to partner with leading organisations who can support us in achieving the high standards that we set for ourselves.

Fair Labor Association - FLA

www.fairlabor.org

We are incredibly proud to have been accepted for FLA membership in July 2023. FLA is an international network promoting human rights at work and its membership includes companies, universities and civil society organisations. They have worked for more than 20 years toward a future where responsible business means that fair working conditions are the standard, not the exception.

Our commitment to ensuring fair labour practices and promoting human rights throughout our supply chain has always been a priority for our business, but with the support of FLA, we can build upon our Responsible Sourcing Program and ensure that we have the expertise in place to drive our work forward in this area.
greenly.earth

Greenly is an accredited B Corp climate tech company that offers unique software enabling businesses to measure, reduce and offset their carbon footprint. Greenly focuses on carbon reduction strategies, employee training, and supplier engagement to help companies reduce their emissions sustainably.

We have partnered with Greenly in order to help measure our carbon footprint and identify where our most considerable emissions are.
This targeted analysis of our operations means we can prioritise where to start reducing our impact throughout all parts of the business sustainably.

They have been working in responsible sourcing for nearly 20 years, providing practical tools, collating global insights and data, and helping their community of 55,000 members improve their responsible and sustainable business practices.

Small Brands Working Group

Lucy & Yak are part of a working group which consists of CSR teams from small-medium sized UK brands who come together to share knowledge on ethical and sustainable topics. Frequent meetings provide an incredibly useful forum for everyone to keep up to date on emerging developments and any industry challenges. Each representative is able to openly discuss their ideas, present examples of good practice and share resources among similar sized brands. This openness and collaboration allow us to identify where our combined leverage can lead to positive change throughout the industry.
