Beautifully made jeans

Drew Straight Leg Jeans: ORGANIC DENIM - Mid Wash Blue UK 16 REG Absolutely lovely jeans, so well made. As other reviewers have said, it's best to size up (I'm normally a 14R in dungas, these were a well-fitting 16R). No stretch, but still comfy. I'm 5'2" and curvy, so the mid rise and barrel leg shape were perfect - these will be my go-to jeans with cropped sweaters and hoodies!

Best pair of jeans I own

I’m really happy with the jeans, I always struggle to find jeans that fit my bigger middle without the leg width looking crazy. They’re really decent quality. I haven’t washed them yet but they have held their shape really well so far from 5+ wears. Proper denim. Love these and wish you did them in a million more colours!

another sizing gone wrong

i looooove Lucy & Yak but i'm starting to get frustrated by their sizing issues. I own two addisons, W32, and they fit me like a glove. After reading reviews advising to size up, I ordered the Drew in W34 (despite the sizing chart telling me to go for a W32) and I can barely get them over my hips, let alone close them. I had the same issue when I ordered a pair of the new Dana fit last year. It's frustrating, especially as an international customer who can't try in stores and must pay for the return. The jean itself is excellent quality though. But I really wish the brand paid more attention to having correct sizing - or maybe gave the measurement of each product so customers know what to expect.

New jeans for me

Well made jeans, love the style but had to go up a size. Pleased I did as very comfortable and look perfect

Great quality, but still breaking them in

I've been looking for looser fit jeans for a while, as I find skinny jeans too restrictive these days. I dithered over buying the Drew jeans for a while because I wasn't sure how well they'd suit me. In the end I went to the new L&Y store in Manchester and tried them on there. They're proper denim and great quality, and they looked good in the mirror on first glance, so I bought them. They look best on me with a tucked-in t-shirt/top.

After trying them on at home I realised that they do need breaking in - while the leg shape is great, the fit is very close around the waist and hips, especially when sitting down/bending (and it means that I can't put much in the pockets!).

For reference, I'm 5'1", size 14 on bottom with large thighs/bum, and a 28-9" inside leg (I roll up the jeans once to get the right leg length, and they look better like that). I bought the 32R and didn't want to go up to the next size for more room around the waist and hips, because then the legs would be too big. So I've been wearing them around the house to try to loosen the fit a little. I think they are starting to give a little now. I hope they let out a little bit more and then I can wear them out of the house without being uncomfortable. If all goes well I might be tempted to buy the other colours too!
