Inked

Our Inked collection is our soft focus, fluid theme which embraces imperfections and features smokey, moody and wobbly artworks. We’ve taken inspiration from natural textures creating rustic and organic markings. Drawings have been created with lino cutting, tea and ink drawings, and loose blurry line drawings.

Life isn’t perfect and neither are these imperfect, fluid prints and patterns. 

We travelled to Settle, Yorkshire Dales, to meet Penny Hunt, an artist and founder of the Settle Wildlife Animal Rescue. Penny’s art is all about embracing what’s around you. From exploring the nature and the imperfections in it and taking solace and inspiration from the elements around us. You can feel the natural world in everything she does; in the artwork she creates, in her studio overlooking the Dales, in the work she does rescuing local animals and working with the community to make it a better place for all living things. 

Whether it’s a pair of dungarees or an oversized jumper to snuggle into, Penny’s style is all about comfort. It’s about embracing the elements and heading out in the wildest of winds, knowing that the best work comes from going out into nature, whatever the weather.

For Penny, an artist can only ever make art for themselves and that you have to create the things that you believe in, otherwise it will feel authentic. She believes wholeheartedly that whatever you make, whatever your art, it will resonate with someone out there, so keep on creating the things that speak to you.
