Overall I love the shape of these pants -- Obregon is a huge favorite for me. This linen fabric is light enough for warm weather but stiff enough to hold up to regular use. I love the colors and the cream choice instead of a white. That said, not being able to select for length in this pattern is a real detriment. The stiffness of the green check linen compared to the viscose blend of the blue gingham means that it crumples and creases on bodies with curves instead of flowing. This feature paired with a set length means that the ankle, knee, and crotch alignment produces those crumples, creases, and folds at awkward placements. I am 5'4, probably 200lbs, and typically wear an XL in run of the mill pants (L-XXL depending on the style). In the blue gingham, viscose blend Obregon, I am a perfect Lucy & Yak L. I cannot take those pants off. For this green check, linen Obregon, neither the L or XL fit well. The L created a kangaroo pouch from my upper thighs to my stomach and stuck on my hips and butt. The XL fell off my waist and created an inadvertent straight leg shape instead of a barrel. It crumpled on my ankles and created new lines up the leg from the way it seemed to encounter my legs with surprise. I ended up keeping the XL in hopes that several runs through the dryer and perhaps a visit to a tailor could help match the beautiful work of the exact same pant style in a better suited fabric and length pairing. The effect is not as intended, but is still an enjoyable summer pant, so this remains a 4 star review.
